Hello ladies-

This week I have been privileged at several moments to witness the profound power of this sisterhood, and it nourishes my confidence in how women intuitively know how to care for each other. Our Roundtables are typically designed to inspire conversation and reflection, but this week felt markedly different.

Some of us were inspired by Julie Jungalawa’s encouragement that we should go “full technicolor” into our strengths, giving ourselves permission to delegate or hire for our weaknesses. Other roundtables were challenged to think beyond job titles and reflect back the leadership skills and values that her partner embodies. I have never welcomed so many huge smiles back into a Zoom after that breakout session.

I wish that I could capture all of the sentiments from these gatherings, but the prevailing feelings centered on:

“I did realize how much I needed this.” 

“Just seeing your faces makes me realize how much I miss you all. It brings tears to my face.”

“I am really struggling, but I don’t know what is wrong.  Is it me, or my work environment?”

Many of us are also feeling the deep sadness of an Excelle sister experiencing loss, and others are desperate for the space that Thanksgiving break will provide for us to reinvest in self-care.

I encourage you to lean on each other for support.  Don’t wait for the next Roundtable to connect with Excelle women. Send the text, write a note, snap a pic that reminds you of laughing together.

Be the fuel for each other.

Fiorella is a proud first-generation Costa Rican immigrant with Puerto Rican roots. Her lived experiences have shaped her commitment to community, inclusion, and purposeful leadership. She brings a rich background with a PhD in Leadership and extensive experience in relationship management, learning & development, and strategic systems planning across private, public, and nonprofit sectors, primarily in education.

Outside of her work, Fiorella lives a vibrant life filled with extensive travel, food exploration, competing in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, strength training, salsa and bachata dancing, and learning new languages. She also enjoys engaging with content from thought leaders and innovators in leadership, mindfulness & wellness, and fitness industries whose insights inspire her approach to personal and professional growth.

Rooted in a holistic philosophy of leadership and self-development, Fiorella believes that awareness, intention, and healthy habits are the foundation of a meaningful life. She is passionate about serving others and helping individuals cultivate balance, expand their self-understanding, and lead with purpose.
